What is SaverPin?
SaverPin is a free browser tool that turns a public Pinterest pin link into download buttons for the files behind that pin. You paste a pin link, a pin.it short link or a public board link, and the result card lists every file it found, each with its real pixel size and file size.
There is no account to create, no Pinterest login, no app or extension to install, and no watermark added to anything. At launch the site shows no ads. The main tool lives on the home page; the other pages are the same tool set up for one job, such as original images or public boards.
Is SaverPin part of Pinterest?
No. SaverPin is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc., and nothing on this site should be read as coming from Pinterest. We name Pinterest only because it is the service our tool reads from.
The tool reads only pins and boards that anyone can open without logging in. It cannot see private pins or secret boards, and it never asks for your Pinterest password. Pinterest's own rules still apply to how you use what you save; its Terms of Service and copyright policy are worth reading.
“Pinterest respects the intellectual property rights of others and we expect people on Pinterest to do the same.”
How does the tool work?
Our server looks up the pin's public data, checks each file it finds, and hands you signed links that stream the file from Pinterest's servers. Here is the order of events for one pin.
- You paste a link. The page accepts Pinterest pin links (pinterest.com/pin/ followed by a number, on any Pinterest country domain), pin.it short links and public board links, and refuses anything else with a message.
- Our server reads the pin's public data from Pinterest, the same data a logged-out visitor's browser receives.
- For every file listed, the server reads the first bytes of the file to learn its real width, height and size, instead of trusting the label.
- Each button carries a signed link that expires after one hour. When you click, the file streams from Pinterest's servers through that link. We do not keep a copy.
- For audio, your own browser copies the AAC sound track out of the MP4 into an .m4a file. Nothing is uploaded to us.
What can SaverPin do, and what can it not do?
SaverPin saves what Pinterest already serves in public, and says so when something does not exist. We would rather show a limit than promise a file that is not there.
| Request | Supported? | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Video pin | Yes | The MP4 Pinterest lists, up to 720p |
| Idea pin (short vertical video) | Yes | 720p MP4 plus smaller MP4 copies when they exist |
| Image pin | Yes | The original upload, in its own format |
| GIF pin | Yes | The animated .gif and a still JPG |
| Audio of a video | Yes, on your device | .m4a (AAC), not MP3 |
| Public board | Yes | Up to 50 pins, one at a time |
| 1080p or 4K video | No | The files we found stop at 720p |
| Private pins, secret boards | No | Not readable without a login |
| ZIP of a whole board | No | Pins are prepared one by one |
The reasons behind the 720p ceiling are on Pinterest video quality explained, and the private-pin question is answered on download private Pinterest videos.
Why does SaverPin show limits so plainly?
Because a download tool is only useful if its labels are true. A button that says 720×1280 · 2.2 MB should give you exactly that file, so we read the size from the file itself before showing it.
In our tests on 2026-10-24, a 9.5-second idea pin gave a 720×1280 MP4 of 2.2 MB, and a 90-second idea pin whose source was listed as 1080×1920 still topped out at a 720×1280 MP4. That is why no page here promises 1080p or 4K.
How does SaverPin respect creators?
SaverPin is meant for personal use: keeping a recipe video, a reference image or a tutorial you want to watch offline. Reposting someone else's video can infringe their copyright, so we encourage asking the creator first and giving credit.
Our page on whether downloading Pinterest videos is legal covers this in more depth. Rights holders who want a pin blocked from our tool can follow the steps on our copyright and DMCA page.
How can I contact SaverPin?

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy, and the rules for using the tool are in the terms of use.
